The 2019 Peninsula Conference Basketball Championships, featuring seven schools in the 1A classification, opens four days of competition at Cook Inlet Academy on Wednesday, February 27th. The tournament includes five girls teams and seven boys teams representing host Cook Inlet Academy, Ninilchik, Nikolaevsk, Lumen Christi, Birchwood Christian, Kodiak ESS, and Nanwalek.
The Peninsula Conference champion and runner-up qualify to the ASAA 1A State Basketball Championships set for March 13-16 at the Alaska Airlines Center at UAA. The tournament is a double-elimination format with the championship games on Friday, March 1st and and runner-up game on Saturday, March 2nd.

The Peninsula Conference girls bracket opens with #4 Lumen facing #5 Ninilchik on Wednesday, February 27th at 2;:30 p.m. #2 Cook Inlet Academy plays #3 Birchwood on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. #1 Nikolaevsk has a first-round bye and begins play on Thursday.
