The Alaska Department of Natural Resources says Hilcorp Alaska is aiming to put a new Kenai Peninsula gas field into production this fall, with plans for a second gas development well in the fourth quarter.
Hilcorp Alaska began exploring in the Seaview area south of Anchor Point on the Kenai Peninsula in 2015, the company told the Alaska Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Oil and Gas in the plan of exploration. That accompanied its July 31 application for formation of the Seaview Unit.
The proposed Seaview Unit is located onshore on the east side of Cook Inlet. It is situated approximately five miles south of the Cosmopolitan field and eight miles southwest of the North Fork gas field.
