Blumer: “They are an advisory board, the recommending board actually to the Governor, on how we should spend our funds for training and workforce development in our state.”


This is the first time the Board has met in Kenai. Blumer said they were motivated by the growing number of opportunities on the Peninsula…


Blumer: “There’s a lot going on down there; some new employers and a lot going on in the Cook Inlet, so we wanted to work with those employers, reach out to them and find out what their labor needs are.”
