Wagoner Supports Energy Voucher Bill

The proposal in the State Legislature, providing an energy voucher to Alaskans to help with energy bills, has the support of Senator Tom Wagoner of  Kenai.  He likes it much better than a “check that someone can use for anything.”  When Governor Sarah Palin was in office, she added money to the permanent fund dividend to help with high energy costs.  Wagoner was not a supporter.

However, he said he would not support the bill, if the final version that reaches the Senate floor includes vouchers for children, too.
