W.O.W. Ride Ready for Snow-Machining… or Four-Wheeling

The W.O.W. Ride will go ahead this weekend, but organizer Kathy Lopeman says riders may need to bring extra equipment…

Lopeman: “We are telling people to bring your snowmahcines or your four-wheelers. It’s your option. It appears to be enough snow that we can groom a short course. We won’t be doing to Caribou Lake, but we will have a course.”

Lopeman said 100 percent of the funds they raise will go to local cancer patients…

Lopeman: “Every single cent we’re making this weekend goes directly to the patients. We have no administrative costs, there’s no one that is paid. Everything we do is donated by our wonderful community.”

The event kicks off Friday night with a chilli feed. For more information , contact Kathy Lopeman at 283-7602-398-4853 or the Central Peninsula Health Foundation at 714-4626.

Over the last nine years, the W.O.W. Fund has given assistance to approximately 445 individuals, totaling $445,000.
