Panthers Volleyball Extends Win Streak: Kards Down Nikiski

The high school volleyball season featured a pair of “senior nights” in non-conference pairings at Skyview and KCHS.

 

Skyview 3-1 Over SoHi

The Skyview Panthers remained unbeaten in head-to-head matches for the season with a 3-1 defeat of the Soldotna Stars. Panther Senior Night featured the final pairing between the Panthers and Stars with the two schools combining in 2014 and with the schools playing in different classifications (Skyview-3A; SoHi-4A).

Skyview won game one 25- 16 and game two 25-13.  The Stars rallied to take game three 25-22.  Skyview closed-out the match winning game four 25-19.

Skyview will host South Central Conference opponents Grace and ACS on Friday and Saturday.  The Stars travel to the Service/Dimond Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

 

Kenai 3 -1 Over Nikiski

The Kardinals hosted Nikiski for the Kardinals Senior Night, a non-conference pairing on Tuesday at KCHS

The Kardinals won the first two games 26-24 and 25-19, before Nikiski took game three 18-25.  Kenai closed-out the contest with a 25-9 game four victory.  Both Kenai and Nikiski travel to the Dimond/Service Tournament for competition on Friday and Saturday.
