Vehicle Thefts Spreading to Seward

Lt. Tiner: “Over the last several weeks, we’ve had a large amount of break-ins to vehicles. Most of them have been unlocked. There hasn’t been any forced entry into any of them, but just unlocked, and valuables taken from the vehicles.

 

Lt. Tiner said they’re not yet sure if the thieves are one small group who travel from community to community, or if there are numerous culprits; however, there is a pattern…

 

Lt. Tiner: “It has happened int he past, and it usually is in the fall. I’m not sure the reasons why. I don’t want to point the finger at any one group of people, but it does seem to happen consistently from year to year in the fall time.”
