Update: Wells Fargo Would-Be Robber in Custody

Soldotna Police responded to a robbery in progress at the Soldotna Wells Fargo Bank just before 5:30pm last night.

 

Four officers and three Alaska State Troopers set up a perimeter around the bank and made entry.

 

David Richardson, 54, of Soldotna, was taken into custody without incident. Richardson was taken to Wildwood Pretrial Facility, where he was remanded into custody on one count of robbery in the second degree and one count of attempted theft in the second degree.

 

Richardson was held without bail pending arraignment. Soldotna police are working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the ongoing investigation.

 

Richardson now faces charges of: Robbery 2- Use Force To Compel Delivery (Class B Felony) and Theft 2-Value $500-$24,999 (Class C Felony).

 

Richardson was previously arrested and taken to Wildwood last July for an assault at a residence on Redoubt Ave. Read: SPD Arrest One One Assault Charges.
