The Chancellor for the University of Alaska-Anchorage, Fran Ulmer, spoke to the Soldotna Chamber on Tuesday.  One topic she discussed was her reasons for retirement next year.

She first announced her plans for retirement in January.  Ulmer said plans will start later this year to fill her position at UAA.

Prior to serving as Chancellor for the University of Alaska-Anchorage, Ulmer was Alaska’s Lieutenant Governor, a member of the Alaska House of Representatives, and the Mayor of Juneau.
