Alaska’s lone congressman Don Young is under investigation once again.
The U.S. House Ethics Committee says it is forming a special panel to investigate whether Young broke house rules by failing to report gifts on his annual financial disclosure forms and by lying to federal officials.
Young’s ethics case was referred to the committee by the justice department.
The committee says launching the subcommittee does not indicate any violation has occurred.
Young was previously the target of an FBI probe that alleged that the congress man accepted gifts from lobbyists in exchange for official actions. The FBI, however, dropped that case in 2012 due to a lack of evidence.
