Twins Finish State Tournament With Loss To Dimond

The Post 20 American Legion Twins, representing the central Kenai Peninsula, dropped their second-straight game at the 2013 Alaska State American Legion Tournament; losing to Dimond in the elimination round 6-5.  For a second straight game, the Twins drop a one-run game in tournament play.


On Saturday, Dimond built a 6-1 lead through three innings; the Twins rallied to draw to within a run at 6-5.  The Twins managed only seven hits.


The Twins were unable to repeat their 2012 state championship run; in which, the Twins won seven consecutive games in-route-to the title.
