Troopers Responded to Two-Vehicle Crash Near School Bus Unloading Zone

Wednesday afternoon at 3:45, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a motor vehicle collision at mile 16.2 of K-Beach road.

Trooper investigation revealed that 64-year-old Thomas Earsley of Kenai was driving a 1999 Toyota pickup truck and was stopping for a school bus, while it unloaded children. That’s when 49-year-old Amiel Severson of Soldotna, who was driving a 2008 Jeep at the time, failed to stop and rear-ended him.

Both parties reported wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash, there were also no reported injuries.

Severson was issued a citation for her part in the collision.
