Troopers Respond to Overdose at Local Bar

Sunday April 21st, just before 6:00pm, the Alaska State Troopers in Soldotna received a 911 call regarding 27-year-old Kyle Horsley of Soldotna, who had overdosed on drugs and was unresponsive at the Duck Inn in Soldotna.

Troopers responded and arrived first on scene where medical attention was provided to the deceased individual.  The man was brought back to life and the male individual received further attention from responding medics who transported the victim to Central Peninsula Hospital for further treatment.

While conducting the scene investigation, Troopers discovered illegal narcotics which were a contributing factor.  Items were seized and the investigation continues.  Troopers anticipate forwarding charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance to the Kenai District Attorney’s office.

No arrests were made during the initial investigation.
