Sunday evening, around 5:40pm, the Alaska State Troopers received a report from the Spring Creek Correctional Center of an assault.

Megan Peters, with the Alaska State Troopers told us that trooper investigation revealed that an unidentified 21-year-old inmate had assaulted a correctional officer.

The charge of Assault IV is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.
