Troopers Looking for Assault Suspect

State troopers are asking for help from the public in locating a suspect in an assault case earlier this week in the Anchor Point area. Troopers say an Anchor Point man and his nephew were driving home from Kenai on Tuesday. They passed a vehicle that followed them to their home where the suspect confronted them about a rock hitting his vehicle after being passed.

Troopers were told that the suspect threatened the two men, and fired shots over them from a handgun. Troopers are looking for a Latino, or, light-skinned black man, with short hair, a thin black mustache, and wearing a ball cap. They believe he is driving a 2009 or 2010 Chevrolet or GMC SUV.
