Troopers Investigating Vehicle Theft from Nikiski

 

Yesterday afternoon right around 4:00, Alaska State Troopers from the Soldotna post responded to the area of Gillnet Avenue in Nikiski following a report of an abandoned vehicle.

Subsequent trooper investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen the day prior from a Kenai business.

The owner of the vehicle identified as 50-year-old Laura Maciariello was unaware the vehicle had been stolen until it was located by AST.

The investigation further revealed unknown person(s) removed all four tires as well as the stereo equipment from the vehicle.

The estimated cost of the missing items is about $2,000.00.
