Troopers Investigating Vandalism and Burglary in Sterling

Wednesday, May 8th, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a burglary on Great Land Street in Sterling.

Troopers told us that the complainant was away from his property when vandals had forced their way into the residence, consumed the homeowner’s beer, and spray-painted an ATV on the property.

Two firearms and several other valuables were taken from the residence.  This investigation is on-going.

Anyone with information regarding the break-in is encouraged to call the Alaska State Troopers at 907-262-4453.

    The fact that they drank his beer shows the true lack of consideration these scumbags possess. I’m sick of people like this.

    We need some EFFECTIVE police presence on the Kenai Peninsula. You can pretty much forget the Troopers finding out who did this, unless someone turns them in. The Troopers have no investigative knowledge or experience.

    More worried about the weapons than his beer. Spay painting the ATV sounds like kids and now they have guns.
