Troopers Arrest Nikiski Man on Third Felony DUI and Drug Charges

Saturday May 4th, just before 5:40pm, the Alaska State Troopers contacted 50-year-old Dale Vaughn of Nikiski, in a truck parked at a pull out near mile 159 of the Sterling Highway.


Trooper investigation revealed that Vaughn had driven the truck from Homer to Anchor Point, that he was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana, and that his driver’s license was revoked until 2063 for prior DUI offenses.


Vaughn was also in possession of a personal use amount of marijuana.


Further investigation revealed Vaughn had been previously convicted of felony DUI twice. Vaughn was arrested for felony DUI, driving while license revoked, and misconduct involving a controlled substance in the 6th degree.


He was held at the Homer Jail without bond.
