Troopers Arrest Girdwood Man for Endangering the Welfare of a Vulnerable Adult

Tuesday, at about 4:40pm, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance at a residence on Ravenwood Drive in Girdwood.

Upon arrival to the residence, Troopers contacted 74-year-old James Burd,  Girdwood, at the residence and Burd became extremely hostile towards troopers, creating a hazardous condition.

Trooper investigation revealed Burd refused to care for an adult in need at the residence after the adult needed medical attention.

Burd was arrested and remand to the Anchorage jail on the charges of disorderly conduct, endangering the welfare of a vulnerable adult in the second degree
