Trial For Murder of Former Soldotna Resident Delayed

Former Soldotna student Kendra Lewis was found dead in her Hawaiian condominium last April, allegedly at the hands of Steven M. Wilson. Wilson’s trial was scheduled to begin yesterday, b t has been delayed until February 10.


Lewis and 26-year-old Wilson had moved from Anchorage to Hawaii at the beginning of the year, but her father Mike Lewis said she was a Soldotna girl at heart…


Lewis: “She had been in Soldotna since she was about 12 years old, so she went through junior high and high school in this community, and was on the SoHi swim team, and I know she had a lot of family and friends down here.”


Prosecutors are seeking a sentence of life imprisonment without possibility of parole. Wilson remains jailed with bail set at $1 million.
