Traffic Stops Yield Two Kenai Arrests

Over the weekend, routine traffic stops along the Kenai Spur Highway led to the arrest of two Peninsula residents.


The first was at 12:00am on Saturday, when Donna J. McMinn, age 49 of Kenai, was arrested for DUI and Breath Test Refusal. She was transported to Wildwood Pretrial Facility.


The second was at 1:10am. That driver, Jeremy A. Dooley age 20 of Soldotna, was arrested for Driving in Violation of Instructional Permit. He was also transported to Wildwood Pretrial Facility.

    Wait…violations of Instructional Permit rules can get you arrested and taken to jail? That violation gets more than just a citation? Seems like there should be more to the story…Does driving without a license get one arrested, as well?
