Low Tides Closing Kenai Boat Launch Once Again

Officials with the City of  Kenai are working to get the word out that with a -4.16 foot tide expected today just after 11:00am, traffic will be backed up in and around the city’s boat launch. We got more from Sgt. Ben Langham with the Kenai PD…

Sgt. Langham:”City of Kenai would like to remind all dipnetters that the city’s launch for boats will be closed approximately two-hours before and two-hours after a low tide, and that is primarily for minus tides. We encourage everyone to please be patient and we will launch people as soon as we can, and go out there and have fun, and be safe, and good luck dipnetting.”
