Teen Left For Dead In Abandoned Anchorage Building

Anchorage Police are still investigating the assault of a 18 year old James Clinton of Anchorage who was found unconscious in an abandoned building at the 800 block of Barrow Street Monday night.


Monday, September 16th, just after 8:00 pm, Anchorage Police responded to the University Police Department on a report of an anonymous note that had been placed under their door urging authorities to look into a teen that had recently been beaten and left to die inside an abandoned building that was scheduled for demolition.


Upon locating the abandoned building police found the young man in the downstairs area, he was transported by medics to a local hospital where he remains unconscious, in critical condition.


The abandoned building is owned by Covenant House and is scheduled for demolition today.


Detectives are still looking for details to determine who assaulted James Clinton and why.
