Streams Town Hall Meetings to Continue While Some Question Locations

The Borough’s Anadromous Streams task force is continuing to hold town hall meetings across the borough, to discuss their proposal for amending the controversial borough anadromous stream ordinance.  We spoke to Task Force member Fred Braun…

 Braun: “More town hall meetings, that one[in Nikiski]again was very well attended. There are two more proposed, there’s one for Moose Pass, there’s also one for Anchor Point. I can’t help to believe that the one in Moose Pass will be pretty slimly attended, when you think that most of this ordinance really doesn’t really affect Seward, they’re exempt for the most part. Doubtful there will be very many resident in Moose Pass this time of year. I think the intention was to try to attract some Cooper Landing folks, I’d propose we have a town hall meeting in Sterling, I really certainly  believe that Cooper Landing folks would attend a Sterling meeting.”

The next town hall meeting will be held on;

Monday, March 25, 2013  6:00 PM  Anchor Point Senior Center

Tuesday, April 9, 2013  6:00 PM  Moose Pass Community Center

    How much money will be spent trying to make this right? We the property owners have been heard from again and again. Really how long can the fight for our rights go on?
