The Borough Administration’s Anadromous Stream Protection Task Force is continuing their series of town hall meetings across the Kenai Peninsula this month. Borough Chief of Staff and Task Force facilitator Paul Ostrander outlined  how the information gathered during the town hall meetings will be used..

Ostrander: “There going to take all these comments into consideration, and then that amendment, i’m sure, will be modified in some way, and those comments will be taken into consideration.”

During the first town hall meeting in Nikiski, the overwhelming outcry from the public was for the outright repeal of the controversial ordinance.

Ostrander: “Well it’s certainly something that has to be considered, the public testimony is something that’s important  consider. It will be considered with all the testimony that we’ve received over the last 8-months since the task force was been put into place. So yeah, its something the task force will certainly  consider, and consider along with all the other information that we’ve received.”

The next town hall meeting will be held on;

Monday, March 25, 2013  6:00 PM  Anchor Point Senior Center

Tuesday, April 9, 2013  6:00 PM  Moose Pass Community Center
