State Legislators Call on Residents to Get Involved with SB21

At last week’s meeting of The Alliance, several State Legislators encouraged local businessmen and women to get involved with SB21 and educate others. He said the push to repeal the bill would set Alaska back.

Sen. Micciche(R-Soldotna): “We have the time to turn things around, but if they’re successful in this effort I feel that it’s going to be essentially too late for Alaska joining that party of production in the future.”

Senator Micciche spoke about the history of Alaska’s declining oil production, comparing it to other U.S. states…

Sen. Micciche(R-Soldotna): “In 2008 and 09, of the 14 oil-producing states in the index, 9 of them¬†remained in decline, okay we were all kind of in the same boat. 2009/2010, that number dropped to 5. We were leading the way of the decliners.”

Micciche said Alaska’s led the way ever since until there was only one state still in decline in 2012: Alaska.

Most of the legislators are “tied” to the Alaska “OIL Cartel” in some fashion, even by marriage! If the referendum makes the ballot please VOTE “YES” for repeal of SB 21!
