State House Says: Gun Makers, Move to Alaska!

The State House today passed HJR12, inviting gun manufacturers to relocate to Alaska, with a decisive vote: 35-1.

Nikiski’s own Speaker Mike Chenault was the sponsor, who said: “In a time in Washington, D.C., and in states across America where gun laws are being more exclusive we’re sending an inclusive message to manufacturers: come to Alaska, where we won’t punish you or mandate how or to whom you can make and sell your products.”

Speaker Chenault said the available land in Alaska, and the “citizenry that appreciates and fully supports our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms,” makes the state the perfect place for firearm and firearm accessory manufacturers.

State Representatives have already begun reaching out to manufacturers, HJR 12 will now move to the State Senate for consideration.
