Two new 4000 gallon tankers were just purchased for the department, too.  They are already in service. Baisden said, along with the older ladder truck, the older tankers had also outlived themselves. All of the older trucks were purchased in the same time-frame during the 1980’s.  Baisden told us that the fire service area will see faster water delivery with these new trucks.
