The Soldotna Stars hockey team shutout the Homer Mariners 3-0 for the championship at the End of the Road Hockey Tournament at the Homer Ice Rink.

After a scoreless first period of hockey in Saturday’s championship game, the Soldotna Stars scored a pair of second-period goals to take a 2-0 lead over Homer. The first goal of the game scored by Nick Wrobel; Dagen Walton added a Sohi goal with less than a minute left in the period. The Stars added a power-play goal in the third period off the stick of Jonas Perletti for the 3-0 victory. Cody Harvey, in goal for the Stars, recorded the shutout.

The End of the Road Hockey Tournament opened play with an 8-1 victory for the Soldotna Stars over the Bartlett Golden Bears.
SoHi opened the scoring with a pair of first period goals; one by Shayne Miller, one by Nick Wrobel. SoHi added two goals in the second period with Dagen Walton and Jarrett Urban scoring. SoHi allowed a lone goal in the second period. A four-goal, third period for SoHi with goals by Dalton Pearson, Wrobel, Max Hegge, and Hunter Lott. Final Score: 8-1 Stars.
Kards Split In Juneau
The Kenai Kardinals traveled to Juneau for a pair of non-conference games against the Juneau Douglas Crimson Bears. Kenai fell in game one 6-3; then, rebounded on Saturday with a 5-2 victory.
