A pair of early season unbeatens faced-off Tuesday night when the Soldotna Stars traveled to Homer for a high school hockey conference pairing. 

 SoHi broke a scoreless tie with a Nick Wrobel, second period goal; scoring short-handed to lead 1-0.  Wrobel added an insurance goal late in the game’s third period.  Cody Harvey shutout the Mariners stopping 29 shots.

The Stars are 5-0 on the season and 1-0 in the North Star Conference, including a three-game sweep through the Peninsula Ice Challenge.   

Next up on the hockey schedule, the Kenai Kardinals travel to Homer on Tuesday, November 20th for a North Star Conference contest.
