For 22 years, Mike Sweeney has been organizing the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade…
Sweeney: “It started with maybe 6 or 7 folks or vehicles or something like that, when we first started. People just like to get together. For years, we had dinners until a couple years ago, but the idea is to get people to go to restaurants that serve it [St. Patrick's Day Dinner] and let commerce work. That’s how I feel.”
Sweeney said the Parade is great lead-up to spring, and was designed to draw the community together after a long winter.
This year’s parade will start at 1pm on Sunday, March 17, in front of Bailey’s Furniture.
