Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run

The Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run kicks off tomorrow, Saturday May 18th in Kenai, we spoke to Kenai Police Chief Gus Sandahl for more.

 

Sandahl: The Special Olympics Law Enforcement Run is a 5k fun run or walk that helps raise awareness and funds for special Olympics and the funds raised go to local special Olympics athletes in our area.

 

We asked Officer Sandahl about the location of the run.

 

Sandahl: The run or walk will start on Kenai park strip on Main Street Loop by the Kenai softball fields and runners will travel down Main Street Loop and make a left on Willow Street and travel all the way down to the stop sign at the intersection with Marathon Road and then travel back to where we originated.
