The Kenai Performers has become a thriving part of the local community, and tonight is opening night for their latest production: Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “South Pacific.”
Judy Imholte is a volunteer with the Performers and said tickets will likely still be available at the door for tonight’s 7pm show.
Imholte: “We always have more people than we can use when we have a call for performers. Lots of people in the community are interested, we can never use them all, unfortunately. We have a lot of very talented people in our community.”
Tonight’s musical weaves several stories together, centering around a U.S. Naval base during WWII.
