Dusek: “Over at Soldotna Prep, students in the sculpture class are in need of broken small appliances, because they’re going to be doing a musical mechanical steam punk sculpture.”
Superintendent of the local school district Sean Dusek said students will be accepting any kind of appliance, whether it works or not…
Dusek: “They’re gonna’ take those appliances apart, plus if people have some bolts or broken jewelry or old bike parts, things from the junk drawer, go ahead and drop those donations off at the school over at Soldotna Prep. Should be an interesting project they’ve got going.”
Steampunk is a style which combines science fiction, fantasy, and 19th century steam powered machinery.
