Soldotna Man Arrested Following Early Morning Hit and Run

This morning, just before 2:00am, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a Soldotna address for a reported hit and run accident involving a vehicle striking a pedestrian.

Trooper investigation revealed that 59-year-old Frank Alto of Soldotna was driving a 2001 Ford Taurus when he struck an individual in her own driveway.

Alto ran over the lower part of the woman’s leg and left the scene without stopping.

Troopers say that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this case.

Mr. Alto was arrested and remanded into Wildwood Pretrial without bail on the criminal charges of assault 3rd degree and leaving the scene of an injury motor vehicle accident.
