On Wednesday night, the Soldotna City Council approved $150,000 to fund a study for a street light at the intersection of Birch Street and the Sterling Highway. Mayor Peter Micciche spoke to our news department about the study after Wednesday night’s Soldotna City Council meeting.

Micciche is optimistic that Soldotna, by offering to fund this portion of the project, can receive support from the state.

A light would help that intersection a lot, I think everyone that thinks that it is not needed there should try and turn towards the y during the day. Thank you
