The Soldotna City Council agreed, last night, to forward an amended version of a bond issue to voters this fall. It asks voters if they would be willing to fund the expansion of the Joyce K. Carver Library in Soldotna. City Councilmember Dale Bagley was successful in convincing the majority of the council to increase the bond issue from $2 million to $2.5 million. Bagley explained his reasoning for increasing the bond amount.

He was also asked why the city should spend money to expand the library, during the current economic situation.

The bond issue will be on Soldotna’s October 5th municipal election ballot.
