Tonight during Soldonta’s City Council meeting several big items will be discussed such as a possible decision being made on a Special Assessment District for Lord Barinoff Street in Soldotna.
This SAD has already had several work sessions and tonight a decision could be made to determine if or when the project could begin.
We spoke with Councilman Keith Baxter who said this.
Baxter: “Tonight we’re going to be discussing the N.Aspen Street Special Assessment District starting around 4:30 and then at the meeting we will be talking about the Lord Barinoff Special Assessment District so we’re dealing with a couple of those today.”
Director of Economic Development and Planning for the City of Soldotna Stephanie Queen had more details.
Queen: “Tonight is the actual public hearing for the Lord Barinoff SAD project so the City Council could be making a decision on that project tonight. We’ve received some written comments about the project already some folks have submitted some objections and written comments, there’s also the opportunity for testimony at the meeting itself and then the City Council will have the opportunity to either approve the district, amend it or deny it, it could also be postponed, so any of those actions are possible tonight on Lord Barinoff.”
