Snowmachine Conditions Vary Within Refuge

Now that the New Year’s weekend is here, the snowmachiners will be out across the Kenai Peninsula. Earlier this week, the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge opened the area north of the Kenai River to snowmachines. Steve Miller is with the Refuge. He said the conditions still vary for the snowmachines north of the river.

He said there had been a lot of requests to open the northern section of the Refuge.
