A single-engine aircraft crash landed in a marshy area near Holt-Lamplight Road in Nikiski Thursday afternoon.
Nikiski Fire Department Captain J.T. Harris says the sole occupant of the craft refused medical transport even though an ambulance was on scene.
He described the aircraft.
Capt. Harris: “My crew got a better look but it was a small, experimental type aircraft like an ultra-lite.”
Harris says the crash site was about 100 feet from Holt-Lamplight.
Alaska State Troopers also responded and were speaking with the pilot when Nikiski Fire left according to Captain Harris.
