Shoplifting Spree in Soldotna

A slew of shoplifters have been caught trying to steal nearly $900 worth of goods in Soldotna over the past two weeks.

 

June 28 Soldotna police responded to Fred Meyer where they cited 30 year old Christopher Payton of Soldotna, who had removed $182.96 worth of merchandise from the store without payment.

 

On June 30, Soldotna police responded to Fred Meyer for two shoplifters in custody. A 16 year old female and a 17 year old female, both from Nikiski, removed a total of $257.96 worth of merchandise from the store without payment. Both girls were charged with theft in the third degree and will be forwarded to juvenile intake.

 

Soldotna police responded to the Sportsman’s Warehouse a week ago(July 1) where they found 23 year old Kristen Sumers of Soldotna had removed $379.94 worth of property from the store without payment. She was arrested and taken to Wildwood on $500 bail.

 

Later that evening Soldotna police contacted 43 year old Marneille Keys of Soldotna, at Big John’s and arrested her on an outstanding fugitive from justice warrant from California. Keys was taken to Wildwood and held without bail pending extradition to California.
