The Kenai/Soldotna area is preparing for a new mural, thanks to the Paint the Kenai project, but the City of Seward is one step ahead. Seward, the inspiration for Paint the Kenai, added a colorful display to its Library Museum last Wednesday. Resident Marianna Keil explained…

Keil: “This one is really fabulous, cause the museum has – the library museum has colorful tiles on the outside that sort of change color with the light hitting it, so this one has a lot of color, it’s pretty.”

Keil said the Seward community is full of artistic people, and there’s no shortage of mural inspiration.

Keil: “It’s got little forest animals and a fire and it’s sort of very Alaskana.”
