Now that the Senate Resources Committee has completed work on an oil tax bill, it will start turning to other bills. One of them is the proposal to build an in-state pipeline from the Cook Inlet to the Interior. Senate Resources Committee Co-Chairman Joe Paskvan likes the idea over the in-state line from the North Slope.
His comments were made during a Juneau press conference on Gavel Alaska. Paskvan is also concerned that an in-state line from the North Slope to the Cook Inlet would eventually discourage further natural gas exploration in the Kenai area.
