Today, House Joint Resolution 4 passed the State House with a vote of 35-1, with 4 excused.
The title of the resolution: “Urging the President of the United States to rescind 23 executive orders, executive actions, and executive recommendations, related to regulation of firearms; and urging the United States Congress to refrain from passing legislation that restricts the right of individuals to keep and bear arms.”
Representative Andy Josephson was the single “Nay” vote. HJR4 will now pass to the State Senate, as well as Speaker Chenault’s HB69. Speaker Chenault’s bill was being held until today for reconsideration, but that was not taken up.
