Seaton Files for Re-Election

Posted: January 2, 2014 at 6:50 am

Homer’s Rep. Paul Seaton has announced he’s filing for re-election in 2014. Due to a new redistricting plan, all local representatives and senators will be up for re-election in 2014.

Seaton’s district (K-Beach south to Homer) will no longer be paired with Soldotna Senator Peter Micciche under the new plan. Instead, House District 31 will join Kodiak, currently represented by Sen. Gary Stevens…

Rep. Seaton(R-Homer): “I worked with Gary Stevens before and I’ve worked well with Senator Micciche. Peter and I have become good friends and I think we’ll continue to work together. So, it’s one of those things, you work with whatever plan the Redistricting¬†Board comes up with.”
