Friends and family of an Anchorage woman who went missing during a camping trip in the Northern Kenai Peninsula last year are resuming their search.
Victims for Justice say the renewed efforts to find Valerie Sifsof will include a four-day search in the Granite Creek campground. That’s where Sifsof disappeared last July. A green tank top and a black jacket Sifsof was wearing have since been found.
Victims for Justice executive director Susan Sullivan says the family has contacted commercial rafters there to be on the lookout for evidence of Sifsof’s disappearance.
A reward of more than $27,000 remains in effect for Sifsof’s safe recovery and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for her disappearance.
A reward of up to $1,000 is offered through Crime Stoppers.
