Several companies and some private investors picked up lease tracts in the 2010 Cook Inlet Areawide Lease Sale. The sealed bids were opened in Anchorage earlier this week. Cook Inlet Energy, LLC won seven tracts with bids totaling over $908,000. Daniel Donkel and Samuel H. Cade won nine tracts at a cost of almost $462,000. Buccaneer Alaska, LLC won three tracts at a cost of almost $268,000. Armstrong Cook Inlet, LLC received one tract at a cost of over $58,000. Paul L. Craig won four tracts at a cost of almost $200,000. Escopeta Oil won seven tracts at over $267,000. NordAq Energy won two tracts at cost of nearly $146,000. Monte J. Allen won two tracts at a cost of over $117,000. Finally, the partnership of Samuel Cade, Robert Newman, Daniel Donkel and H. Jerry Hodgden won one tract at a cost of $59,000. In total, 36 tracts with a total acreage of 145,000 acres were sold.
