Rep. Young Discusses Congressional Deadlock

The members of the U.S. House and Senate are returning to the Nation’s capital following last week’s election. One issue facing congress right now, is the pending “fiscal cliff.” We asked Rep. Don Young, Alaska’s lone member of the U.S. House about how to end the seemingly endless congressional deadlock.

Rep. Young(R-AK): “Harry Reid and Obama have to sit down and say alright we have to offer the house a proposal, we make a counter proposal, first he has to make a proposal, then we sit down and talk about it. He has never ever sat down with the House Republicans and tried to work with us, it’s not is inclination to do so. Harry Reed has not passed a budget in 1,301-days, and yet the public wasn’t aware of that. The Senate has done nothing.”
