Rep. Seaton Introduced Legislation for Hooks in Catch and Release Fisheries

Representative Paul Seaton of Homer introduced two pieces of legislation in the state house on Monday of this week.

Seaton(R-Homer) told us that the first bill would require the use of barbless hooks in catch-and-release freshwater fisheries to reduce fish mortality while providing additional sport fishing opportunities.

The second piece of legislation  would rename the Kasilof River Bridge to the Michael G. Wiley Bridge in recognition and memory of his contributions to Kasilof and the Kenai Peninsula.
