Rep. Seaton Encourages Reconsideration of SB 21

Rep. Paul Seaton was a guest on KSRM’s Sound Off this morning, he responded to the idea of oil companies manipulating SB21 – the Governor’s oil tax reform – and forcing shortages to get better tax breaks…

Rep. Seaton (R-Homer): “You know, that’s one of the reasons why I wanted to have a performance standard in the bill, and performance standards ensure that things will happen; otherwise, you automatically change and adjust the system, the taxation and credit system.”

Rep. Seaton has previously told the KSRM News Department that he’s not a fan of SB21 in its entirety, since he’d prefer to see a greater link between incentives and performance. For more, read: Discussing SB21 Repeal Referendum.
